My throat just started burning out of nowhere, it would hurt when i would talk and my voice seemed to dry up?

can this be my tonsils, i was hurting while breathing and i try-ed drinking water. the things i did before where wash my feet before going to bed and like 30 minutes later it was hurting please help i checked my blood pressure and it was a bit high, was it just a reaction from warm water?
