Is there a way of getting lean without too much cardio?

I hate cardio and have done it for yrs but have not been able to like the feeling of getting my heart rate up any more after 24 yrs of aerobics. I do pilates and weight training and read get lean by labrada only thing is...his calculations are high cals in the beginning of the 12 weeks. I think I will gain on that. I am already almost 170 pounds and my doc wants me to lose weight. He also wants you to do cardio 5 days per week but I do not have the time nor energy if I am weight training and teaching exercise classes (10 per week). How do I get ripped without so much cardio? What would I have to tweek in labradas diet plan? Also cardio defeats my dieting because it makes me very very hungry:( USusally if I eat 2000 cals I am satisfied but the weight never comes off. Help!
