What is the difference between yoga and pilates?

I'm definitely not an expert but I have done both. I think the biggest difference is that yoga is more than just exercise. It's a lifestyle. It works to condition your mind and spirit, not just your body. It's also been recommended by psychologists, for help with stress. So it's more about harmony than pilates is. I think pilates gets you in better physical condition though. Both are great and there's no reason why you can't benefit from both of them.
