On a PDP DP402 pedal-how to adjust the beaters to be closer to the head of the bass drum?

bro i have the same pedals as you and lemme tell you... they do suck but their is a few tricks i learned that can help them since im dirt poor and cant get new ones lol anyway. look on youtube how to adjust the pedal height http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SO_DEOof7dU then you can get new springs i use tama set extremely tight. you can also get new beaters i use iron cobras Cause they fly also they come with a beater weight which helps a lot in changing the feel of the pedal. You can also take the top bolt above the spring tension off and only use the bottom washer to tighten itthat'ss what i am right now to get some extra power. Overall there a decentbeginnerr pedal for the price i can play lamb of god quads triplets and speeds and also all that remains double bass blast beats like on the opening to "this calling" ive only played double bass 1 year so practing daily helps a bunch. Keep practicing and youll get to a good speed but if you want to get to like Derek Roddy or George Kollias speeds you need to get new pedals.
